Al Quelt Moreza
Venturing deep into the Al Quelt Moreza dungeon, I learn a lot (and I fear that the name of the dungeon puts me on some secret "connected-to-terrorists" list).
For example that you don’t really need to play the game to play the game. I guess SotNW is one of the few games that plays itself…
But let’s step back a bit. When you walk through the world, you see a) hordes of monsters, spawning like crazy, and b) many fellow players. So there is always a bunch of people around to fight the massive monster onslaught with you.
Interesting enough, some parties just don’t move. They stay in the middle of a room or in a corridor, fragging every monster in sight. Why is this?
Well, with a good party you can clear an area and take of the respawning monster one by one. And you need to do it, because it is an efficient way to gain experience, and you should have a quest from the pioneering monuments where you need to kill 100, 150, 200, or 250(!) of a certain monster type.
250.
Believe me, you COULD walk through the dungeon in search of you monster du jour. Or you take the easy way out, as everyone else does. Pick a nice spot where your needed monsters occur, and stay there. For a few hours.
This is probably the least interesting and smart part of the game. Ah well, I got to see a few Firefly episodes while my girls were happily hacking away… and when I came back, they gained a few levels and the quests were complete.
But not to sound negative, there are some real quests out there: get Dios Lantem!
